Chief executive officer of Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd, Gan Seng Keong, said the 1,099-hectare integrated industrial development has already developed 50 per cent of its land, transforming it into a vibrant and diversified industrial ecosystem. German tech giant SICK to invest RM1bil in Johor, create 2,500 jobs

JOHOR BARU: German automation powerhouse Sick AG is investing nearly RM1 billion in Johor through its local arm, Sick Sdn Bhd, to build a high-tech manufacturing hub in Senai Airport City.

The phased development, beginning with RM280 million in Phase 1 by 2026, will span 10 hectares and focus on advanced sensor technologies for global automation markets.

Sick’s expansion marks one of Johor’s most significant high-impact projects to date. The move is set to generate 2,500 high-skilled jobs.

DHL Supply Chain Launches Southern Region Hub Phase 1

JOHOR BAHRU, April 7 (Bernama) – DHL Supply Chain has officially launched its Southern Region Hub Phase 1 and marked the groundbreaking of Phase 2 at the Senai Airport City Free Zone today, with a total investment of RM100 million.

Johor State Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Lee Ting Han said DHL’s latest hub marks its first-ever southern region hub in Malaysia, which will also serve as its southern headquarters.
